Peter’ s early career was grounded in a variety of locations within Australia and overseas, in both the private and government sectors . For a decade Peter developed major projects within the Commonwealth Department of Housing and Construction including Brisbane    International Airport, Defence Academy Buildings, Embassy housing and schools . In 1985 Peter left Government to establish Collins Caddaye Architects as a design oriented architectural practice based in Canberra. The practice has flourished and is highly respected by clients, government and professional peers .   Peter has produced a wide varie ty of projects of an innovative and creative nature including laboratories, multi unit housing, Defence facilities, University projects and aged person facilities . Many of these projects have been acknowledged by awards from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. Peter continues to bring to projects an integration of his  extensive design and technical expertise with an a bility to pursue a new or creative outcome for each project . Peter’s particular master planning skills are actively sought by Government, institutional and commercial clients. Peter is an active member of Canberra’s architectural community through membership of R . A . I .A. committees including Education Committee, Planning Committee and Awards Committee . He continues to represent and comment on planning structures in ACT and is a visiting design critic at the University of  Canberra.
